Karen Hunter

Karen is a Chartered Accountant with significant experience working in private practice as well as the Scottish College sector.

Karen is the Director of Finance and Planning at Dumfries and Galloway College. As a member of the College’s Senior Leadership Team,  she provides advice and direction on strategic and operational finance matters and leads the development and operation of the Finance, Student Records and Student Support Funding areas.

Prior to joining Dumfries and Galloway College, Karen worked for an independent firm of Chartered Accountants  and business advisers, with a focus on providing financial reporting and tax advice to a range of clients including public sector bodies, not for profit and commercial organisations.
