Changes to your online account and how we let housing

You can now register for a new online account. You can do this by clicking here.

We are also making changes to how we let and allocate housing. If you are intending on submitting an application for social housing, you will need a Wheatley Homes South online account.

Below is a list of frequently asked questions for more information.

When will the online account be available to Wheatley customers?

Online accounts will be available from [8 February 2023] and you will be able to register for a My Wheatley Homes South online account.

Will I need to register for a new account even if I had one previously?

Yes, the My Wheatley Homes South online account is on a new system and requires that you register for a new account. If you had a DGHP online account before March 2022, you will no longer be able to access this account.

Why were the online accounts closed for so long?

We were making improvements to the online accounts system. These have taken some time but as a result, My Wheatley Homes South online account users will be able to do more on their account.

These improvements will include customers being able to apply for housing through their My Wheatley Homes South account. You will be able to do this once the existing Homes4D&G website has been relaunched in Spring 2023.

What can I do with a My Wheatley Homes South account?

Can I report and raise repair jobs on the My Wheatley Homes South online account?

There are still some updates being made to how you request repairs through you’re my Wheatley Homes South online account. This service will be available in summer 2023.

Why are Wheatley Homes South customers being asked to re-submit housing applications on their online account?

Homes4D&G will be launching a new housing information, advice and letting policy this year and we need to make sure our customers details are up to date. Our new system for storing tenant details will allow customers to update their application, see what homes we have available and tell us the homes they’re interested in.

It’s important that Wheatley Homes South customers who have applied for housing via Homes4D&G sign up for a My Wheatley Homes South account and not a MyHomes4D&G account, as this could hold up your application.

What changes are you making to how you allocate housing?

We’re improving the way we let our homes and how we support people to make the right choices about housing.

The changes will be designed to be fair to people in most need of social housing, including families in need. It’s also aimed at helping disabled people, older people and homeless people.

When will the new Homes4D&G website be live?

The new Homes4D&G website will be launched by Spring 2023.

What will be different about the new website?

The new website will be easier to use and will offer great advice, tailored to you, about your housing. You’ll also be able to see much more information about the homes available and the area they’re in and note your interest and check on progress of applications.

But no matter what people’s circumstances, everyone will get great information and advice to help them get the right home for them.
